DESCRIPTION:The Coventry Litany of Reconciliation was written by Canon Jose
ph Poole in 1958 and is prayed regularly by Community of the Cross of Nail
s (CCN) members worldwide. Our own St. Paul's Cathedral is in the process
of becoming a member of the CCN and also offers the Litany on Wednesdays.
On November 14th\, 1940\, the ancient Cathedral Church of St. Michael (com
monly known as Coventry Cathedral) and the centre of the medieval city wer
e destroyed in an air raid\, along with the loss of over 500 lives. Follow
ing the bombing\, Coventry Cathedral made the commitment to become an inte
rnational centre for reconciliation and today has over 200 partners around
the globe. Please join Reverend Stephanie Donaldson every week on Wednesd
ay's at 12:30pm on our website as she offers the Coventry Litany of Reconc
iliation. The world has never been in greater need of reconciliation and f
 orgiveness than it is now.
